A few weeks ago, my friend Chelsea and I went out to dinner with one mission: to splurge on amazing food and drinks. After all, we were celebrating our big adult accomplishments (my new job and her raise) and our soon-to-be-roomies status!
So, we headed to Bolsa in Dallas’ Bishops Arts District. Neither of us had been to this Oak Cliff restaurant before, but we’d both heard great things about it so we were excited to try it out.
We arrived a little after 8 p.m. and, once we made it inside (the entrance is a little inconspicuous), we were told that the wait for 2 would be between an hour and an hour and a half. On a Saturday night in Dallas we expected a crowd, so we weren’t surprised. We managed to snag 2 seats at the end of the bar and were promptly greeted by Spencer the bartender who took our drink orders — a glass of Di Leonardo pinot grigio for me and a C’ Est La Vie (pomegranate tea infused Fords Gin, lemon, and bubbles) for Chelsea. Both drinks were delicious! As soon as we told Spencer we were celebrating, he prettied our drinks up with fresh flowers — beautiful and tasty! Such a nice touch.
