As I was mindlessly scrolling through Facebook yesterday, a photo popped up on a profile that I know very well. The photo was of a room that I know very well filled with people that I know very well. And posted on the wall was a piece of white copy paper with bold lettering that read “PUSH HARD GENTLY.”
Monday marked my one-month anniversary as the marketing director at a digital marketing agency in Southlake, Texas. At the end of January, I said goodbye to a job that I physically left back in September, but continued to do from afar. Other than my relationships that are still strong, this job was my last tie to Missouri and what seems like a totally different life than the one I have now, but that’s another story for another day.
I love my new job. It can’t be summed up in my job title; it’s some combination of SEO, marketing, branding, account management, operations, research, client communication, sales, writing/editing, troubleshooting, and so many other things that pop up in the day-to-day. My position also provides countless opportunities to lead and countless opportunities to be a confidante. Continue reading
